About Dr. İsmail Gökhan Bacak
Op. Dr. İsmail Gökhan Bacak is a highly experienced plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in Antalya, Turkey, with a career spanning nearly three decades in medicine. He combines technical surgical precision with an aesthetic, natural-looking approach — and takes the time to understand each patient's individual goals before recommending any procedure.
Education & Career
Dr. Bacak's medical journey began at Hacettepe University's Faculty of Medicine, where he trained from 1996 to 2004. Seeking to specialise, he moved to Erciyes University's Faculty of Medicine, where he completed his specialisation in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, remaining there until 2009.
He then dedicated a decade to public service across Turkey, applying and refining his skills in several government hospitals: Van Government Hospital (2009–2010), Diyarbakır Government Hospital (2010–2013), and Antalya Government Hospital (2013–2019). This broad hospital experience — across a wide range of surgical and reconstructive cases — built the depth of practical expertise that underpins his aesthetic work today.
In 2019, Dr. Bacak opened his own private practice, where he continues to serve patients from Turkey and around the world.
International Experience
Alongside his work in Turkey, Dr. Bacak has gained international experience. In 2015, he spent time at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan (USA), participating in observational studies — broadening his exposure to international surgical standards and techniques.
